Compliance is at the core of what we do at United Gaming as a Master Licensee in the state of Georgia. UG works with our location partners as they navigate the complex world of local and state regulations. Our in-house team of compliance experts work hard to stand by our partners throughout the regulatory process from the initial stages of becoming a location licensee to training, and ongoing compliance needs.
On May 6, 2024, HB 353 was signed into law. HB 353 makes replays, gift cards and lottery products the sole forms of redemption for Class B COAMs, effective July 1, 2026. The gift card redemption enhancements made by HB 353 are expected to create a more attractive, lawful form of redemption for players. HB 353 also removes certain restrictions on location inducement to allow master licensees like us to provide Location Owners with certain non-fixture promotional signage and other statutorily approved marketing materials.
UG intends to leverage the newly amended regulation and continue to make investments in our marketing programs. We believe this legislative change will increase the number of location owners willing to host COAMs, as well as the number of players in the state, creating a larger growth opportunity in the market.
